Life is a journey. Sometimes it’s smooth sailing at sea, with the wind in your hair, fresh air in your face and the feeling of love and then…it’ s a train smash, pain, bodies on the ground, people crying for help, literally blood on the tracks.
Where is God in all of this. Its so clear to me now ….. He is Jehovah Shammah, it means “God ever-present”. He is carrying you in the storm, strengthening you, encouraging you, delivering you, showering you with His love.
All the time!!! God is with you, He is “ever-present”. He is even in you, if you have invited Him into your life.
When Stephen was being stoned in the bible, he kept his faith. He didn’t deny Christ. I’m sure if he raised his voice loudly and said: OK! OK! I deny Jesus, the crowd would have stopped. I mean why was God allowing them to kill him in such a brutal way. What kind of God would allow that? That’s just it! God wasn’t stoning Stephen, people were and ultimately the devil, cause, the enemy is the one who comes to kill, steal and destroy, Jesus came to give us life and life abundantly. There was grace in that moment for Stephen, while being stoned, he even prayed for the ones stoning him. Lean into the grace of Jesus, His grace is sufficient for us.
When life is a train smash and not a breeze, keep believing the truth.
choose life, choose faith. God is a good, faithful Father.
